Old sol isn't going away anytime soon, but we better slather on the sunscreen and drink plenty of liquids because our world is about to heat up in a way that we can't just flip a switch and air-condition it. Summer is likely to be around long after were gone. And it may be hotter or cooler depending upon whether we're still meddling with it or not.
If we could create a fusion bomb on a much smaller scale a couple of places around the earth, we wouldn't have to worry about summer at all.
But your lyrics have a nice, apocalyptic tone to them.
