a little summertime doggerel

drifting down the stream
coz i plum run out of steam
drifting through summer days
in a steamy summer haze
wondering where the hell i've been
having avoided all occasions of sin

HO HO! It's even hard to sin - when you've run out of steam!

Ha ha,great little poem John, this one rolls of the tongue beautifully,a lovely relaxing read.Where have you been John, avoiding all sin?Too hot to be heaven, not hot enough to be hell, yep, sounds like it's just summer in the northern hemisphere without airconditioning. Our spring is about to start, winter finishes on tuesday,we are in for hell this coming summer as already it is hot here during days, today in post office woman was using a paper fan
and everyone was complaining of heat.I am 'plum run out of steam 'too John,'damn' says it perfectly.'Damn!"
Anyway....this poem was really cool!
Best wishes
from
kay.
