""Dark Cloud Of Remembrance" "
{Repost}

I am moving into this empty feeling…
On this dark cloud of remembrance
Emotions too damn intense to inspire verse
I came upon the contest of loving thoughts
As butterflies struggle in my naked chest tonight
Oh!! So painful…so bitterly raw
Trying to escape from deep within
The pinching pain of hurt and remembering
It crushed my heart by “loving”
It stole my spirit
And splattered the contents of my soul
Perfecting the torture… of true love
I tripped and stumbled along my way
Trying to be a perfect woman
Helped in every way I could
I almost overcame the fear of tomorrow
Appreciating the sacrifices made
Now caught between the ocean
And the vision from afar
I came upon the contest of my heart
Knowing the distance between us so very wide
I am moving in this darkness
On this dark cloud of remembering
Emotions way too intense to inspire happy verse
This poem the contest of loving thoughts
Became my biggest nightmare
Remembering now…everything I was told
The biggest lie ever…just remember this
Life crushed my heart
And stole my soul

I know you eventually will, Tinky, and I enjoyed listening to your poem. I also look forward to that happier write you speak of.

"caught between the ocean

These lines are stunning in their beauty, Tinka and standing alone set the tone of the entire poem. Poetic in the most pure and perfect way your poem is excellent. Nice to hear your voice, also.
Take care,
Sherry

Expresses excellently the path of pain of unrequited love, a journey most hope they will not have to take. But those who do travel, have an added dimension to an already complex soul. Enjoyed your read which adds punch to the pain. R

Poor Tinka. To live a lie is torture and sometimes there's nothing you can do about it. But hope reigns eternal. Someday we will all be happy. Victor

Beautiful image Tinks - reminds me of Cytherea in the edifice of the gods.

Life may have crushed your heart sissy, and stole your soul, but these experiences have helped make you the loving, hopeful, and insightful writer, and human being that you are. Making sense of so much that makes no sense is one of your fortes as a writer.

A finely moving piece that is laced with the spirit of hope.

Love and Light ...
