Don't always give people what they want when they want it
Give affection sparingly
Always let people know you appreciate the things they do for you
The most comfortable place to sleep is not always the most obvious
Only trust the people you have known all your life
Always sleep more than you work

Sarah, a very enjoyable poem, but you need to change one word in the title: change 'never' to 'ALWAYS' and then it will be perfect! Ha, HA. Happy Easter. Bill Murray

So very true, Sarah! I love this write, and I have had three wonderful cats in my life that I still miss and will never forget!
My babies were "Cajun" and "Ouizer" (both Maine Coons; I had to give "Cajun" away before I came to Texas; that about destroyed me, and "Ouizer" lived to be the age of 13; he had kidney failure, and nothing could be done to save him, so I had him put to sleep! That nearly killed me!), and also "Friday" (a domestic shorthaired; she was the one we had the longest; we had her for 15 1/2 yaars! we got her at the age of 3; she lived to be 18 1/2!~We think she may have had cancer or kidney problems; she got skinny, and she started psssing blood in her urine; and she suffered; but before we could get her to the vet, she mercifully passed away!).
