“Captain America”
~~~~*~~~~
Oh! How Great it feels
Traveling on the road
With the roar of a Hardly Davison
‘Neath your chrome Frame
The vibrations and the heart beat
Become one in fusion.
A Power
That one can only feel
On the open road
With the wind blowing
One’s hair freely behind them
As it sail into the past
While thundering down
Those lost
Highways to nowhere .
The envious stare at us
With awe
Wishing they too can feel
That freedom expressed
Upon our faces
Like eagles soaring in the heavens.
Here I am
The road flashing under
The wheels of the side car
I am riding in
As I look
Towards my beautiful “Big Mama”
On the helm
Of "her" Hog’s Throttle
“Looking Like Captain America.”
Now that's what I call great. LOL
Big Mama giving her guy the ride of his life, even if the poor guy is stuck in the side car. Way to go - Ms. Captain America.
Least you have vast open roads. Most Americans don't realise that our narrow roads are meant for two way traffic...
That said, our speed limit is faster...
HD Sporter 1957, San Francisco-Route 66-Chicago, the wind on the face, the dust going crazy on the rear tire, no helm mind you, just the bare top of your soul. Free, Yes we felt like Captain America.
Life was much more simple.
Thanks brother.
:) Here she comes to save the day!!!!!!! LOL Free as the wind, this write--love it, William. My ex had a bike, but it wasn't a Harley :( Scared me riding it, but now I wish I had gotten to love it. Mebbe you could ride down Texas way and unteach my fear of motorcycles. :) Well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Here in Florida helmets are not an order to ride free. I've seen the expression of pure joy in the hair taking flight and the freedom the riders have over us peons in our cars with windows shut. You guys have it made.
Love,
Susan
Great, I felt like I was riding in the wind. Nothing like stories of our country's symbolic, freedom rider, "Harley Davidson," so much meaning especially to Americans. Thanks for sharing. My best, Gloria
