Waking in the light of sunrise,
wondering where you are
and why you haven't arrived.

You promised to be here last night,
but alas, my bed is empty,
My heart is heavy with fear

Perhaps you have taken ill
or had a terrible accident;
or just changed your mind.

The beauty of the sunrise
and the sounds of nature waking
quells my deepest fears,

My love, you must arrive soon,
or I shall die of wanting you,
desiring you, needing your touch.

One moment in time,
was not enough,
I long for you, every night.

My lips are desirous for your kiss,
My skin is softly awaiting
your gentle caress

My love is enraptured by your face,
awaiting the gleam of your eyes,
and the softness of your smile.
