I haven't seen the commercial so I can't comment. Except to say that negative commercials, costing a lot of money, seem to work better than positive ones. We seem to be geared to like the bad better than the good.
I cannot imagine why some politicians will use children for their campaigns, that is just going way too far. Your poem is timely and very relevant and should be heeded to by those advertisers who obviously lack brains.
