Dedicated to a friend "Daisy"

A True Lady

I knocked at

Her door

There was pain

Within the beautiful

Blue eyes

Standing before me.

An aging face have seen

Better times

Her once silky

Golden blonde hair

Now almost white.

Fingers she adorns

With diamond sparkles

And pure gold

Now with

Knotty joints

Tired and worn

Of flesh

Aching at times.

Her voice soft

And gentle, serene

To the ears

As she narrates her

Great wisdom

Always with a smile

Brightening

The gloom

While welcoming you

At the door.

Is she the Ma-Ture one? I've known several ladies like Daisy. I call them often if I can't call on them.

This is just fantastic, William. Such serenity even with the aging process and the physical problems, she seems a person who maintained her spiritual awakening. I love the way you did this.
