Some people can just vegetate and get away with the same thing. Me, I need a bandaid if I take a stroll and stub my toe on a maple leaf. It's the way stuff happens to blondes.

Will somebody just lead me around
Because I'm not feeling wise today
Our pets have more fun just being alive
As long as they try to behave
I'm having the worst time of my life
Just trying to keep my focus
It's a "blonde thing" I'm sure and chances are ripe
That my wisdom isn't all bogus
My emotions are taut and I think I'm in love
While my tears have all gone and rusted
It's a hiatus I need for now is the time
To quit before I get busted
Is feeling this way without you around
Something a wise sage would do
Am I stupid to think this is the real deal
And will my path soon lead me to you
I think it is time to just rest a spell
Allow my past pains... release
A good cry might do me a whole world of good
If only for my inner peace
I want to be like Lucie the dog...
She never has to fret
Except when noone answers her needs
She gets sick or goes to the Vet
Or to just sleep and be worry free
But I stand to lose out in love
If my wisdom is drunk and then takes a fall
And I end up in hell or above
Am I ready to travel, to make this here trip
To power my spirit with his
Or write a screenplay, be Hollywood bound
End up lonely out there in Show Biz
I guess I'll just lie down here on the floor
Then hear him whisper my name
If I talk to myself then forgive me, Okay!
I'm blonde and that's partly to blame.

i started life as a platinum blonde--tow headed...hair nearly white...turned dark brown in second grade...and now headed quickly for salt and peppa :)

Susan, you and your blonde mane will always create timeless poetry like this! Stay away from Hollywood, they dye their hair that color!!! Excellent work, Poet!
If blonde means being sensitive, intelligent, intuitive, articulate then yup, guess you've got a good dose of blondeness!! But hey, we all have our "planks to walk" - mine's left-handedness; "senior" moments; gullibility; foot-in-mouthness, to name but a few!! And them's "reasons" and not excuses too! And Lucie the Dog sounds way more sensible than that dotty RED-head, Lucille Ball... goodness me, I can still hear her incredible dumb wail!!
