I thought I saw your eyes blink as I kissed the glass
It was just a silly thought and then, I guess it too will pass
I feel your heat coming through with each thought I have of you
I sense your passion grasping mine...can you feel it too?
I answer the phone, stare at you.... my mind a total blank
You capture everything I do ...you can take that to the bank
Obsessing could be a hint to what's been happening here
With you standing sentry over all my hopes and fears
I'll have my lunch at noon today then come right back to you
We'll have a bite and chat right here slowly eat and coo
Some might say I'm missing you but this is temporary
After all this here love is not the ordinary
I'll try the more to concentrate and turn your picture down
Upon the table... then I'll just bet...you'll make a muffled sound
You know I must be losing it with my lack of self control
Maybe I'm just in love today or perhaps I'm thinking bold
In any case you're my heart ....my bestest ever kind
And though you sit and glare at me I really...? Nevermind!

I liked the way you got your point across
Long before the "Nevermind"

Lovely thoughts Susan and I adore the Betty Boop~~ That was my Mom's trade mark nick name..Wonderful and ever child of the heart in this write~
wonderful poem, Susan ... the juxtaposition of superimposed imagery and emotion is spectacular ... on second thought, everything in this poem just flows effortlessly with passion and is a delight to experience ...

As a fiscally minded Scot (some would say 'tight Scot's git') I am intrigued by the second clause here. There's an economic policy lurking in there somewhere - or is it my fiscal parranoia?
Does Cupid subscribe to a supply demand or demand supply eco/relational policy? Could never pin this character down on the matter. I mean, come on Cupid, pal, the average UK wedding is now estimated to be $30,000 - ye're services are kind of expensive now.
