Poem Artwork

You stand there on the mossy ground a dampness in the air
You can't believe this feeling...the surgence of a dare
You look over your shoulder as if to witness me
I wasn't there just then my love...as now, I am...to be
Your eyes they search the camera lens, a sideward glance of charm
A look that bids the me to dance and flow within your arms
The wish is there when I was here...the faith was born affaire'
You stood on mossy ground just when, I am...but wasn't there
I'm in the bid your eyes did claim...I dwelt inside your heart
I was the one that hummed in you not just a friend or lark
I am...I say...I will with you, I can redeem your love
I shall lie in you til then...when pushing comes to shove
You stand alone but in your eyes...my shadow sways to dance
It was ago when you stood there and offered up the chance
Come here you bade the camera bold...come whomever you be
Come take this pain and offer up the chance to love with me
I did then and since my love...I dwelt inside your soul
And now you come alive for me and in my heart you fold
You're who I need...the one I pine and yearn and ache for years
The difference in the heart of old and now the new is here.

You stand healed, I still stand wounded, Though in your words I find,
Your loving heart, my kindred soul, The hope you give that's mine.
Thank you, Love Pierre.

This is so cinematicallly beautiful, Susan. Not only a wonderfully whipped romantic poetic confection, like the most alluring white wedding dress (taking your hint from the gorgeous pic...), but the scene you set is as the grand, wide-screen sweep of a fantastic Hollywood blockbuster, where the heroine in long-awaiting of her lover, spies him through the lens at last and sees him suddenly fixing her gaze right back at her, even from a distance, and smiling... Ahhhh, Sweet! I can picture it all... even to the sound of the crying peacocks in the grand country house/estate landscape in which the two are miles apart... Wish I was a screenplay writer... You poetry could fill the entire filmspool! Breathtaking, thank you. Kate xx

Sometime, a lot of time, the energy is there, but we somehow overlook it and it takes the toil of life to clear away the cobwebs of her hearts to recognize "the heart of old and now the new is here." Very good, Susan . . .

Your poems are always beautifully written, susan. Really romantic!
I think you must be a good reader of them. You should make a CD of your poems for some of your friends at AD. It would be something to treasure. Best wishes, kenny
