Spread your word,
or sit back and never be heard.
Have your say,
in your own special way.
Try to say something,
as opposed to nothing.

Wherever you're coming from,
arrive in style,
or just a word pile.
Style is better than a word pile,
a word pile is better than silence.
No one knows how f'd up we are,
until we speak or write from afar.

This is what I know about me,
I'm a humanitarian by assignment.
I do not believe in word confinement.
I believe in being a peace maker,
instead of a war maker.
Positivity is my thing,
it's a song I learned to sing.
But negativity grips,
tries to send me on shadow trips.

I believe in the love concept,
anything else is just inept.
Hate to me is choking your own neck,
sooner or later it will cause a wreck.
I don't close my mind down to a creator,
but I am a self reliant dictator.
My mind dictates do my best,
God might do the rest.

I hardly ever do my best,
but what I do passes the test.
If I did my best everday,
I'd be making more pay.
But I get tired and say,
the H with it,
if this isn't good enough,
tough duck.
Quack, Quack!

I love to loaf,
just sit around until I feel like moving.
I sit on the sofa and write poetry,
it's easier than writing books.
I am working on my second book,
this loafing and poetry gets in the way.
Everyday I say I'm not going to poem,
it puts no money in my pockets.
I fail to be strong,
end up poeming anyway,
just like today.

Actually I'm trying to hit the lotto,
the heck with book writing.
I'm tired of working period,
give me a beautiful beach,
Tinka's beach sounds fine.

How I wrote one book,
keeps failing me everyday,
mostly all I do is play.

So this is my say,
take it or leave it.
Call me lazy or crazy,
or maybe I have a problem.
Well I do, who don't!
Maybe I'll overcome,
maybe I won't.

Now that I've faced up,
maybe I'll get laced up.

Quack, quack.

G

Positivity is my thing,
it's a song I learned to sing.

And it's a marvelous tune - stay positive, Grady - maybe you will hit that lottery - and then you can quack to your heart's content!

But writting poetry gives something money can't buy. Cathartic outlet, and a fresh rest from the world, which is a good thing..

Better to have a rich heart that a rich bank account.. So I keep telling meself....
