I use too wonder why some of my older uncles seemed to be in a trance when my aunts were fusing.

Poem Artwork

Did you hear me talking too you,
are you ok?
You seem like you're sleeping
or something.
Why don't you answer me?

Wake up fool I ask you a question?

Oh, oh sorry I was day dreaming,
I almost didn't hear you screaming.
Wait a minute I'll be right back,
I think the dogs near the railroad track.
I wouldn't want him to get hit,
that train will be passing in a bit.

Dam,

where have you been?
You left three hours ago Ned,
now it's time to go to bed?

Yes,

I'm sure glad it's bed time,
chasing that dog wore me out.
What was that you wanted to talk about?
Just a moment I've got to go to the bathroom,
be right back in a second.

Dam,

What did you do,
fall in the toilet bowl,
Or did you fall asleep sitting?
I'm too tired to talk anyway,
maybe we'll discuss it tomorrow.

Next morning,

Where's he at,
that fool done got up and left?
