Here I go again
Crying in the Den
Like anyone cares
About my stupid affairs
When I was a kid
Dumb things I did
Even for a time as an adult
I was an insult
Everyone else had a dad
Me none and sad
In grade school
I was a young fool
Wasn't at all cool
Fell in the deep part of the pool
Almost drown
Felt like a clown
To stupid to holler for a hand
Later on got caught in some quick sand
Almost went under
What a silly blunder
Put hot ice in a closed jar
Explosion knocked me far
The little girl next door
Knock my butt down on the floor
Tried to steal a kiss
Big lips miss
Her father grabbed my throat
Later on tried to float a holey boat
Boat didn't float
Almost drowned again
Saved by my older friend
Threw a rock at a hornet nest in a tree
Hornets went on a stinging spree
Head swollen so
Hospital I had to go
Life has surely been tough
But I still haven't had enough
Now I'm on the Den
Fighting to defend
This messed up life I'm in
Really not funny
Takes up my time and I earn no money
My books doing ok
However still no pay
I shouldn't be smiling
About a dam thing
However I laugh,
Check this out
Work everyday
For my little pay
Wrote a book
Still broke as hell
And to you this I tell
