A bug of prey, that keeps getting in my way, on this nice day.

he keeps trying to bite,
which is his birth right,
i keep trying to kill the bug,
and knock him to the rug.
on we both go,
where this will end I don't know.

i do know that i've had it,
with this bug twit,
and sooner or later will smite it.
it won't give up,
and i won't give up,
so we duel on.

he slipped in my door,
with an intention to score,
but he'll die,
trying to get his pie.
but still he'll try.

why did God create bugs,
little flying thugs,
to prey upon us,
irritate us,
and bug us?

Isn't life hard enough?

i don't know why god created nasty little things like mosquitoes; they truly ARE annoying! LOL cool write, truly enjoyed! thanks for sharing, grady! :D (((HUGS))) and much love, your mosquito-hatin' friend in texas, karen lynn. :D you should have seen the ones i saw in louisiana; some were so big they could carry a HOUSE away! think one of those cajun suckers pegged me in the eye; the one time i was in louisiana for the breaux bridge crawfish festival, a maringuoin (Cajun mosquito) bit me on the corner of the eye, and the next morning, i woke up with a swollen eye! it looked like someone popped me a good one! it was NOT fun! :(

I tell you, there's a lot of poetic mileage to this bug business!
Something so small has the capacity to make us so irritated! LOL
