See a truck,
walk out in front of it,
try your luck.
Know where some terrorist are,
call on them,
they might blow your car.
Love to eat everything,
pull a chair up to the table,
feast like a greedy king,
eat yourself to death,
forget about your health.
In a world were many dangers exist,
life can be very fragile at times,
death may take us
no matter how hard we resist.
Some speak of destinies plight,
the day life finally ends,
when the eyes close forever from sight.
Others feel they have some control,
can counteract destiny,
delay its deadly hold.
If its meant for us to die,
the grime reaper might strike,
no matter how hard the try.
Who knows whats in the cards,
it could be a fixed deck,
arranged for a win before the game starts.
With a little more resistance,
life might continue on,
with strong insistence.
I like to feel,
there's a remedy,
to prevent the kill.
This attitude,
adds to my thrill,
even if there's not,
on I plot.
Who knows for sure?

subject. When I see a jogger I wonder if he
is really lengthening his life span, or when
your time is up does it matter? When I see a
dieter turn down a piece of cake I want to say
that one piece of cake won't add or subtract one
day of your life. Thank you Grady for a wonderful
thought provoking poem. Read mine for it could be
joined with yours....God takes you when it's His
time.
Love 'n Peace,
