I hold this razor..
contemplating this decision..
Do I make the final swipe..
Just one long incision.
than I can lock my door..
go to sleep..
never wake..
pray to God my soul
to take
I look at my arms..
I see scars from years gone by..
Do I really want to
remake mistakes..
Take my life..
no matter whose heart I break?
God, I hate this..
What have you done?
I want desperately to go
into eternal sleep..
But I cannot do this..
Knowing my sons would
feel the guilt and weep..
I am trapped here!
Once again
Perhaps the next time
the razor will win.
