When you say no to a system you must come up with another to replace it. But if you kick out one and fail to bring another in fill the vacuum then you are killing the nation.

But it is worse to overthrow that dictator
Without having a plan to install a system
Such a change brings more harm than good
As the nation will be plunged into bloodshed
Perpetuated by anarchy and tribal conflict
Somalia is drowning in the depths of misery
Created by the demise of the dictatorship
With no wish to pull through without help
As it has strangled itself with ropes of iniquity
Woven by the devil from the fibers of evil
Frightening prospect Abdi Noor! I pray a leader will come to the fore, one who puts country first and gets the help from the people that he needs to start recovering and rebuilding a nation!

Same thing has happened in Iraq. Poor planning or, indeed, no planning for what might follow.
Your words are so true, Abdi-Noor, and it must be not only frightening to be watching this happen but also heartbreaking. I think that it is impossible to look to a future of peace when there is no hope for a government that wants to pull the people together with a common focus. Truly, someone wants to levy taxes upon the people but they wish to do so without offering any benefits. At the moment, Somalia (as well as some other countries) looks like a sinking ship with Coast Guard cutters circling but only watching the ship sink with all her passengers. I keep you and your family in my prayers, Abdi-Noor and I wish I knew of something else that I could do, but I don't think that some other government coming in and trying to force a new government upon your people is a good answer to your problems, either. As we can see in Iraq, when several factions are walking separate paths, it is difficult to impossible for a government to focus upon a common goal for the good of all of the people. May safety and hope color your world, Abdi-Noor.

The dictator in Somalia has decided to kill the nation. Dictatorship is an ancient idiology that cannot work in Somalia any more. This dictator is trying to silence a whole nation by using forighn forces with no respect for our blood. This is 2007: Somalis have got enough weapons, have watched enough movies and are very alert at this time. No one can opprese them.
Mogadishu was much safer during the wor-lords era than today. This dictator needs to pack and leave. We need peace and reconcilliation, not war and oppression.
