When she was six months old my daughter Maria was at risk of being circumcised and i defended her. Thanks God she was saved from being mutilated. I shared the pain with Karla Dorman who then wrote a poem for Maria and shared it with the rest of the Den. Now the same scenaria turned out at a most unfortunate time. Maria is six years old and in the name of culture or religion or whatever they believe, they want to mutilate her in a most ruthless way. I am far away from her. she is in Ethiopia with her mother and sister who also under threat. I need them to reunite with me before their life is destroyed
I will pray that you are reunited in time. So very, very sad. You must be totally distraught and my heart goes out to you and to your family.
