Would I get eyes for my brother´s heart? It is there where sight originates from, eyes only transmit vision

From the depths of my soul
I see the sparkle of hope
But unable to share it with a brother
Who is just as blind as a bat
Not able view anything in the heart
Unless he wades through a lake of ignorance
He is a prisoner of his own jail
Never venturing to defect to the light of freedom
Ever languishing in pits of misery
Darkened by the shadows of tribalism

the vision of the parochial is myopic and morose -- for the scales of balance are biased too much toward the pragmatic and too light in the weight of faith -- much love and peace to you my dear friend -- Jon Michael

Abdi-Noor, there are some who will never see. Powerfully and beautifully written.

Eyes are the windows to the soul. If you can truly see, then you are alive!
A very deeply written poem of intense wisdom and hope.
