Thinking it is clever to wield
a legal sword across my throat -
in an attempt to deface me -
only hurts those around you.

Every effort pushes your agenda
further down the toilet of
plausibility.

You have forgotten a
favorite tenet of mine:
Change is an opportunity to do
better. And sometimes
change begins with you.

So turn away. Look not
at your impertinent mask
melting away disguised
misdeeds. Do not die of
disgust as you find
your greed has devoured all.

Be careful not to trip
on your shock
in or out the door.

And me, I will always be
in the catbird seat.
