the allure of tearing flesh
of arms ripped wide open
sharpened nails laughing
“razors are for the weak”
blood…
red
released
warm and sweet
eternal sleep
it’s mesmerizing
the illusion
the delusion
the freedom
from blue
to red
to black…ness
night
this is forever
no more fight
no more feel
no more tears
no more need
just bleed
just bleed
just bleed

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
