there is nothing better than going home
and nothing worse than spending half the night
at the airport waiting for a red eyed flight
weary people dozing in their cowboy hats
with their winter coats piled into make shift pillows
most of the men are snoring
their women elbowing them - shush
and then the plane arrives
the room goes from near hush
to bustle, to an - ‘okay, we're going now,
time to get up to sit down’
and the children in Mickey ears
line up at the door
time to go now.

Slices of life are the best Sara...I jot down little notes everywhere and sometimes those ideas blossom into poetry. You just took all of us on a mental journey...and reminded us all of the rediculous waits.
