My inspiration was this video.

Oh how small we are.
You.
Human.

Once upon a time
what happened in your town,
happened to you.

You,
were alone.
And if your neighbor
didn't care
because your neighbor
was your thief.
You either got really smart
and cunning,
or you died.

Today,
maybe,
we still are heartless
and look the other way.
Look with a blind eye
-- if at all -- about anothers bleeding.
But I think

slowly not.
        I think we care.
At least, you,
here,
and some more
         out there.

 So come
"Stand By Me"
as the world gets
a whole lot smaller
and just a wee bit stronger.

'Cause it doesn't take a lot
or take away
from your

/my
day,
and I'll stand
by you,
too.

This poetic piece deserves much more attention and credit than it has received thus far. The "Stand by Me" video helps us to love our world for sharing ONE voice in OUR LOVE for GOOD MUSIC! More than that, our LOVE for compassion and reaching out to one another in a kind and thoughtful way. May this movement spread throughout the world. Amen!

I have seen the video before, but it always impresses me like it did for you to write this story of how we treat each other. You will find me standing by, nearby, when someone I know is in need. Powerful stuff.

Earth-centric Humanity at the Crossroads by Martin Treon

For the reasons I describe in this book, the world-wide suffering, death and extinction of humanity is very likely to occur, unless nonviolent and democratically determined radical and revolutionary personal and societal actions and changes are taken
