A joke will pass from their lips

Tears turn to smiles
And smiles turn to giggles

Well they’re like yawns
Downright contagious
And next thing you know
The two of you are crying
And laughing
And shaking your heads
And then somehow
The cracks in their world
Just for a very small moment
Or maybe longer
Seem to heal
Seal up
And simply
Go away.
