He said, "Follow me
I know the way.
You are the only one I trust."
And then I broke us
That trust
I had for him
And he had for me
Such a foolish woman
How could I think I was invincible?
I’m not a kid
I’m an adult
I know that there is no eternity in life
Only in death
How could I not see?
No matter where he went
He always came back to me
Until he didn’t
Any
More
And then it was over
I cried for him
I hated me
I begged him to take me back
I love him now
And always
I love him

I've been there
still there in my mind and even my heart sometimes... though I know it's truly wrong
I can't help myself

Always in childhood each moment is an eternity, for we have no sense of death. Then through adolescence we learn of mortality. Our twenties are spent conceiving distractions from our newfound knowledge. The next step I see, as I'm turning 29 this very day is a turning away from distraction and owning up to mortality. But I think love is the binding principle. It just gets more complex with age. For example a baby at first recognition of its mother feels love. Then the hardships begin: I'm wet , I'm cold, I'm soiled. It's the same for adults as I see it. It's just the impetuses that get more complex. What does this person provide that I hadn't realized I needed before I met this person. What would I do if this person were out of my life? Babies and children never face this conundrum for an eternity of care is at their disposal. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I understand. But I thought I'd make it clear just how I understand.
