MY GRANDDAUGHTERS
Leha and Daisy
are as cute as can be.
One is still a baby
and one just turned three.
They both own my heart.
They're such happy little girls.
But when they're all grown,
they'll not want diamonds or pearls.
You see, each granddaughter
has a long tail and 4 legs.
When they see you with a treat,
they'll sit up and beg.
My granddaughters are dogs
and I mean no insult.
I still love them bunches
even when they sniff their butt.
It's true what they say,
grandchildren are great.
When mine come to visit,
I don't worry if they just ate.
I feel them, water them,
toss the ball, and let them out.
They're even-tempered little girls
and never cry or pout.
I carry pictures
as a good Grammy should.
In a beauty contest,
mine would win, I know they would.
They get so excited for the reward
after learning new tricks.
What they lack in manners,
they make up for with licks.
So love your family
no matter the breed.
They'll love you in return,
fullfilling your need.
