The orange globe ahead was the sure sign of morning .
What a night it had been, dark and dreary and the music sad.
The whole world it seemed had gone mad
Making me lonely and lost in another world .
Down I went as I cleared the hill
Splattered in front of me the road kill.
And as the music turned to the news
My dream met the reality of a southern spring.
When there is a frenzy sweep in creation.

Being one who can actually be tossed into a depression by "road kills" I had to read this one. And so life and death go hand in hand, but I wonder would there be less of death in nature without man?

Sometimes the title of a poem just says to me, "You've just got to read this one!" In this case I'm glad I listened.
