Lonely heart and soul of mine Looking, waiting, wanting a sign Aimlessly wandering, looking ahead No feelings or thoughts; Inside I am dead Pleading with self; Find peace; Soon please Asking God for guidance, on bended knee Crackling voice and tears flowing free Wondering how on earth that this became me Tortured child I was back then Never telling a soul and forcing a grin Containing it all within my own mind Forgetting the past, nevermore to find Glimpses and visions of things now old Including myself, I�m constantly told Attempting to hide from what happened to me Running now quickly, just wanting to be free But the past is much faster than I�ll ever be Scratching and clawing its way back to me.
