Mirrors of the soul are
insatiable for light--
a perpetual lantern--
with polished honeycombs of delight.
Telecoptic memories,
angled and honed, deflect
those imperfect, horrid things
of darkness seeping into the night.
The sharper the image,
the more clear is our sight--
recording our daily strife--
and replaying history for insight.
Distorted, unsilvered, scratched
mirrors distort, cause us fright--
why not try it by moonlight--
all illusions beam with pure might!
Flexible, celestial mirrors
reflect what we know is right . . .
