Poem Artwork

Escape me away O Wanton Sea

Sailing nigh neath azure sky
her Titian hair spangled spry
whilst tiller and rudder
enagage game with each other

Escape me away O wanton Sea

From tack to an gybe
becalmed indulge in the ride
play your overture aft
hear overt wind naff

And Escape me away O wanton Sea

Lay along blessed ketch
every care blown ne'er to fetch
heeling cease winds abate
A lovers breeze be ye mate

Sail me away O wanton Sea

Till all worries oft borne
furrowed brow so forlorn
I will ride these waters silent still
asleep thee now bereft of ill

Any chance you can take me there too? This is lovely. The image effectively complements the whole of your offering. Thank you, Ch'erie. Love and peace,

Ah Ch'erie, this is delightful. Yes, the sea...that's the place to escape from this crazy, meaningless world. Once you've slipped the moorings, there's no turning back 'til the trip is over. Great write, m'lady!

God Bless
Love always
Lena

Fantastic tale of the old mariner school of verse...I love it and could almost picture the two of us on the forecastle watching the sunset a fire. Excellant imagery here dear Cherry Pie.
