Sunlight plays lazily on my desk
like fingers or rays,
and I sit transfixed,
in ponderous haze,
gazing out at the day.
The sun shines brightly,
quite alarming
how it disarms me,
looks warm
but there's a steady breeze,
it's colder than I think.
Winter made it's way,
all warmth escaping,
and frost replacing
its pleasent memory
in delicate etching
on the window,
such a pain.
I'll stay inside today.
Feel the shower's heat
a time or three.
And not even have to deal
with a stupid coat.

oh yes, I understand. So pretty, yet so cold. Though I must admit the snow we have today is beautiful.
