GROWING UP
Growing old is that which most folks do,
Growing up some pay no attention to.
This ends the fun in many minds,
So refusal is that to which they’re inclined.
Why is it that folks often think this way?
Are you ever really too old to play?
The older I grow, the more I find
That playing is great for body and mind.
To keep up with grand-kids is often tough,
It takes much stamina, that’s sure enough.
To dare to pursue this fun-filled end
Will guarantee that you, much energy, spend.
When it’s all said and done,
And another course was successfully run,
Amidst the soreness and tired, aching feet,
You’ll say to yourself, “That’s hard to beat!”
