kicking sand with debra

we watch the surf roll in,
marvel at the shadow of the earth
as it sweeps across the moon,
savor the midnight air
and laugh when
a sudden gust of wind
transports my jaunty hat on a journey
to the stars, raise a toast
of chardonnay and, to the cadence
of heartbeats
and music of the spheres,
dance away the summer’s night,
caress the dawn with a kiss.

Absolutely romantic and delicious! Such writing reads so easily, one would think that you're younger than springtime. - Bill

You set the scene for a gentle romantic romp on a star fulled night on a sandy beach...that's what dreams are made of, Gene

Chardonnay -- a good way to romance the night away. I like the sudden gust of wind taking the hat and the laughter and kisses. Transports me back and I wonder did anything like that happen to me, ever. Sad. So, it's a good thing I get to live it when reading "two for the seashore"

Gene,

The sea is in your blood and in your pen, thankfully for your readers! I enjoyed this one, very much. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

You still evoke Pablo Neruda when you write of the sea. :)
