Poem Artwork

The following poem chopped from a conversation about humor, between Dai and myself, when I told him I found flying pigs funny.  Not that I am into pigs for themselves, but love the absurd, goofy, comic humor associated with the notion of flying pigs. They're nutz!  So he drew a flying pig for me,and I said I would write a silly poem for the pig.  But somehow, it turned into a pig in a kilt, and the poem, took wing.  I then suggested that Dai make a video of the poem with his drawings and photos of Scotland,  and he went to town!(Edinburgh)!!  He even included a caricature of himself and I getting pig farted in the face.  LOL The results were a squeal, and can be seen on the link below the poem, which he posted on youtube.com.  What fun this was!!!

Gilt in the Kilt

Fer years Highlanders on the hunt,
Could never trap yon wee piggy grunt
The bravest o’ hearts tried time n’ again
Te catch yon auld squealer frae city te glen

This piggy became a legend o’ sorts
Same as the type o’ Loch  Ness reports
Alang wi' Wallace n' Bonnie Prince Charlie
The tale o’ a flyin' pig, told as funny

One pig by the fine soundin’ name o’ Hamish
Caused tears o’ delirium in the eyes o’ the famished
He flew wi’ the hawks, and soared wi’ the doves
Droppin' sweet turds, and sprinkles frae way up above

There's photos o’ Hamish and sightings fer sure
While souvenirs sell, fer Euros galore
The legend o’ Hamish sky high in his kilt
Is lining some sporan wi’ plenty o’ gilt

Enjoyed both the video and the poem, you two!

He flew wi’ the hawks, and soared wi’ the doves

Hamish sounds like my kind of piggy, and this would make a great little book!

funny stuff, I always tease my wife about her flying piggies. She calls in the hogs quite a bit. I tell her she should start a bacon factory, that dancing cat is cool, so is your bio quote

This was really funny! Poo poo and fart poetry. Why is that always still so funny? Kudos to both of you. Love the vernacular in the poem. It is a colorful language.
