I could not find a category for lame poetry so I put this under humor lol

fickle fate

Time told Wait, "I'll be right back

Just sit tight..... relax

Get comfortable, my patient friend

I'm going out to talk to End

I just hope that we don't quibble

If End is hanging round with Middle

Middle is always running late

Since he started dating Fate

First was Fate's old paramour

Till she met that rouge Before

She dropped him like a red hot coal

When Middle took her for a stroll

Time had a roving eye for Fate

Despite that Middle was his mate

Looking here and searching there

Fate was not found, anywhere

Fate was fickle that was true

As Middle, Before, and Time all knew

And yet they all had lust for Fate

While Fate had eyes for End and Wait

Later!

Pax

A

I'm so glad you did not hesitate in penning this delightful poem. A very original theme...carried through to the end. Love it...

TOTALLY KNOCKOUT BRILLYANT... HOW DO YOU DO THIS??? THIS IS SO RIGHT UP THE KB ALLEYWAY THAT I AM ALMOST MOVED TO COMMIT IT TO MEMORY... or at the very least to take notes so that I can be a cheapskate copycat... Just my cuppa tea, Darlin. Cheeky and smart! OK, lame if you like. But nope... I'm a useless liar... Brilliant it is, then. Love, Kate xx

Lame by no means! Original, inventive, and so very true! The use of personification here was perfect! This is one of those 'truth kernel' witticisms I could clearly see being repeated among people decades from now! Excellent.

Tania,

Dear, dear Lady A, no poem is lame unless it is not written. This is whimsical, as Fee (below) said, and I'm smiling, even now...reminds me of Who's on first. :) Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I don't think I would call it lame, I think more of a whimsical verbal puzzle that brought smiles to my face that is for sure.

hugs
