A voice came out of a little box
Whining in writing......Do what I want
Swearing, YOU PROMISED!!! Although I did not
This voice unimportant, so........ I just forgot
There was hostility, in it's fretful words
Conversation was offered,which I found absurd
Must be a reason, I gave it the swerve
Lo and behold, it showed me it's nerve
It brought my integrity into question
My religious persuasion by queried oppression
According to theory, if Christian, I'd be
I'd do as instructed, then he'd let me be
Yes I'm a believer, in spirit in deed
Yes flawed, to the core, yet try to take heed
But find when questioned as manipulation
My heart is offended by such abberation
No, I am not Buddist, Jewish or Zen
When I say my prayers, do I end with amen
I am not Druid, Hopi, or Creek
Nor am I Muslim, Suni, or Sikh
Don't use religion, on me as a push
I find it offensive, you're no burning bush
Perhaps I'm a Pagen, or practice Voodoo
Scientology, Wicca, or a Hindu
Save your judgment, spare me your woes
Go count the stars, go pick your nose
You claim to have sources other than me
So go play your cards, and just let me be
Wherever my spiritual persuasions lay
Is for me to know, and for me to say
So to your rudeness, here I reply
