Bonnie, I can understand how this poem must strike at your heartstrings. And how sad some memories may be of your lost son.

The man who wrote that would probably be glad if he knew it affected you so. I can relate to the sorrow of watching someone battle with addiction, and I know for a mother is is even harder. Thank you for sharing such a personal story and poem with us.
