~ Simple Simon’s Yellow Bus ~

Simon was a simplex child. Slow, they used to say.
Learning at a lesser pace, but learning just the same.
Simon rode a yellow bus, separate from his peers
Nicknamed "Simple Simon", shamed and ridiculed to tears.

"Simple Simon, Simple Simon, he’s as dumb as clay,
Has to ride a yellow bus, cause he can’t find his way".
Simon grew to hate the sight, of his small yellow bus,
Special rides to special schools, meant you’re not one of us.

Simple Simon’s yellow bus, drove down "AlmaVine",
There they stood defiantly, chanting "Simon’s" rhyme.
In his raging anger, Simon gathered up his nerve,
Pulled his window open, Yes Simon…"flipped em the bird".

Good for Simon. Nobody because of their slowness in learning or any other disability should be made fun of. People, especially children can be very cruel to others. Especially if they don't understand. Simon didn't ask to be born with a learning disability, it just happened. So why make fun of him? I will never understand why people do that, tho. may the Lord bless Simon for his courage, and his continued education which he wants more than anything, except to be left alone. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & (((HUGS))), Barbie

I love this! Good for Simon, he's not so simple after all, eh?

Excellent rhythm and flow.

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani

“The woman or man who is a poet, or fiction writer, or playwright, or all of these, is engaged constantly in a jazz ballet of vocabularies, passions, genders, histories, perspectives, death, love, and life. The music of revelation announces itself to
