~ Dunk段n Cookies ~

Dunk段n Cookies in milk, creates happy grins.
Snack time is fun time, milk running off chins.
Dunk段n Cookies in milk, at night before bed,
Treats for our children, completely well fed.

A distant world away, children live in primal fear.
Tasting hunger everyday, salted with their tears.
Famine robbing little ones, of cookie dunk段n days,
Fantasies and day dreams, never born to famished babes.

Still on our horizons, peaceful sharing yet to come,
When impoverished children don稚 existnot a single one.
When children can be children, unconcerned in playful fun.
Full of love and laughter, dunk段n cookies, every one

The sad part about it is that there are too many children that have never tasted a cookie, let alone having the milk to dunk it in. Great message in this poem, Bonnie.

You are so sweet.
Sometimes the difference we make just feels too small.
But it is better to make a tiny difference than no difference at all.

So sad Bonnie that children have to live in poverty. I agree with everyone here when I say that this is a powerful message from a tender heart. I too, pray that the world can stop its bickering, and take care of what is important. Our children. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & (((HUGS))), Barbie

Oh yes, Bonnie! I pray daily for this to happen!
Our children deserve to live in a better society
and world than we have provided. I hope and pray
for change. Thanks for sharing, this wonderful poem!
