~ This Poet’s Passions ~

My constant amazement of nature,
Contemplation of life o’er and o’er,
An afternoon in my garden, alone,
My unquenchable thirst to explore.

Laying on my back porch swing,
Till a gold moon fades from sight.
Kissing pictures of people I love,
Writing poetry all through the night.

Captured smiles to be remembered,
Stored inside, my mind’s eye view.
Holding hands with elderly folks,
A dance by myself, to the Blues.

Grand things I dare not know of,
Undulating nighttime dreams.
Blessed with my own imagination,
Creating my own heavens scenes.

A new born puppies, milky breath.
Peace found in my solitude.
Knowing I’ve done one good thing,
Before each day is through.

Amen... some of us are natural islands, it seems to me, Bonnie. We love and we give, yet we appear to have complete contentment within our own space where our energy levels rise and refuel. I'm the "alone in a crowd" and "at a party with self"-type most of the time! Not in a proud, arrogant or aloof kinda way, though, I hope! You were on your own, perhaps, but in terms of "being in tune" I was right there with you! TY for this endorsement. LOL Kate xx

"Grand things I dare not know of,
Undulating nighttime dreams.
Blessed with my own imagination,
Creating my own heavens scenes."

This how I have felt, for many, many years. I thought that the past was all behind me, until this last Sunday. My strength was gone, my bravery vanished, and my tears were like waterfall. Wonderful write Bonnie...keep it up. May the Lord Jesus bless you and yours, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

"If I have to be this girl in me, Then I may as well be."
