~   Limbo   ~

I don’t know much about myself, hardly anything at all.
I don’t know who I am, or why I’m here.
I don’t know where I came from, or what comes after this,
I don’t know why my being can’t be clear.

I don’t know what the secret is, or how life came about,
I don’t know what’s beyond blue skies above.
I don’t know what a hell is, or where it’s supposed to be,
I don’t know what or where lies infinite love.

I don’t know why a love ends, or what creates its spark,
I don’t know where it goes when it has died.
I don’t recognize the color of another human’s skin,
I don’t know why we cannot see inside.

I don’t know anything it seems, about these goings on,
I don’t know the truth of my existence.
I don’t know what drives me, to pursue an honest answer,
I don’t know what created my persistence.

Hell, neither me, but try not to allow sleep depravation to set in about it. Just celebrate who and what and wherew you are.

An apt title for this piece, Bonnie, you've place me, as the reader, within Limbo, also. I think it is a life-long task for most of us to gather information, experiences, wisdom, tolerance and, especially, the courage to travel the path that would find the answers to the author's questing mind and soul.

And, in an almost obsence manner, the answers are not guaranteed to ease or empower a person's spirit and soul, sometimes, as each answer sinks into our awareness, the path to the truth gets harder and harder.

A searching, seeking piece which sent this reader back onto the inner road of self doubt and yearning for fulfillment with a reawakening of the pain of not knowing what is, what was and what will be...

Sometimes knowing less is a blessing. Knowing more gives one headache.

I like how you had written this.
