A little "pick me upper" after my morbid post yesterday. (no pun intended)

“WEEDS”

Who’s to say a flowering weed, isn’t pretty as the rest?
Was there someone who judged them all and this one failed the test?
I find them lovely, weeds and all, growing everywhere.
What other flower plants themselves and doesn’t need your care.

They’re always there for you to pick and make a nice bouquet,
Or wrap a ribbon round them, trim them up and give away!
If nothing else you’ll get a smile, from the one who has received them.
They haven’t cost you anything and you never have to feed them!

We pull them and we poison them, but they never cease to grow,
A multitude of colored weeds, with names we’ll never know.
Come wintertime they disappear, and then come spring reseed!
So I can pick my favorite bloom, a bunch of flowering weeds!

You sure got that right. My favorite flower has always been the Dandelion. I wrote a poem about them. It's called, "My Secret Love" I like your poetry it's easy to read and best of all it rhymes.

Few things annoy me more than the idiscriminate overuse of pesticides. "Weeds and insects won't kill you-but pesticides will".
