Rainbow

A gloomy day in springtime,
When moist April clouds await,
For natures perfect moment,
Before one small drop escapes,


And pours their crystal liquid,
Over all on Gods green earth.
Seedlings waiting eagerly,
To quench their newborn thirst.


And when the clouds have disappeared,
A sun drops into place,
A colored arc spreads cross the sky,
And a rainbow floats in space...

Lovely colored rainbow,
Who sent you down our way.
Creating joy and miles of smiles,
With your multicolored rays.


Is your beauty heaven sent,
A doorway for the time,
When we'll return to, one by one,
The home we left behind,


Or are you just a rainbow,
A gift for all who gaze,
Into your psychedelic stripes...
And truly feel amazed.
