I am the voice of reason,
You can hear me if you try.
I'm always here to lend you my advice.
At times you fail to listen,
Even when you know you're wrong,
Convinced your fate is of your own device.


You overlook the rightful path,
That's laid out right before you,
And try to make life flow in your direction
While the voice of reason's shouting out,
The answer to your problem,
You close me out with rational deception.


I am the voice of reason,
Inside all who care to learn.
My purpose is to offer you the choice,
To contemplate your morals
And decide what's right or wrong,
And hope that you have listened to my voice.


The life you have is laden with decisions you must make,
The answers may not always seem so clear,
But if you listen closely, you will hear me echo truth,
And your fears and doubts will slowly disappear.


I am the voice of reason, here to guide you through your life,
Don't ever underestimate my power.
You may think you've dodged the bullet, but you'll know that I am near,
Should the consequences of your choice, turn sour.


The seasons of your life will offer many opportunities,
To hear the whisper you cannot ignore.
Unlock your mind and listen to the sound of logic calling,
When the voice of reason knocks upon your door.
