"The fabric of Life"

Cotton diapers first to touch, the newborn infants' tiny butt,
Swaddling them in Cotton clothes, Cotton Q-tips swab their nose.
Cotton napkins, Cotton sheets, white Cotton socks to warm cold feet.
Cotton draped the famous Gandhi, children eating Cotton candy.

Nylon jackets keep us dry, nylon luggage, when we fly.
Nylon hugs the lovely leg, negligees' in nylon... red.
Nylon tents, for when we camp, nylon jog suits, ward off cramps.
Tennis rackets, Nylon strung, Nylon curtains, neatly hung.

Satin dresses for the dance, Satin bows on babies' pants,
"Satin Doll", a crooners tune, soft as Satin Iris blooms.
Satin linens for the bed, Satin pillows, sleepy heads,
Satin shades of violet light, Satin whispers in the night.

Silk pajamas, "Susie Wong", worn at dusk when day is done,
A pouch of Silk to fill with gold, A Silk smoke jacket, when you're old,
Silkworms busy spinning thread, to weave a Silk hat for your head,
Chocolate truffles, Silky smooth, satisfies the chocolate tooth.

Fabric from around the globe, woven threads connect and grow,
Spanning round and round the earth, clothing the whole universe,
Dungarees and pinafores, suits and Army uniforms,
Battles fought in green fatigues... hand made by the enemy...
