Can you be with yourself at the end of the day,
When your world becomes quiet and the light slips away.
Are you pleased with the person, who is inside your skin,
The one you can't hide from, the spirit within.

When you pray for forgiveness, do you honestly try,
To reach out to the power, that forgives you and I.
At the end of your journey, will your soul feel complete,
Or will life's undone business lay dead at your feet.

Can you look past the color, to the heart of a being,
And feel the connection in what you are seeing.
Does divine holy spirit touch all that you do,
With the love and forgiveness, he created in you.

When it's time to depart, will you look back in pain,
And wonder what was it, you were trying to gain.
Will you solve all the mysteries as your lifetime evolves,
Or pass on to your children, problems you couldn't solve.

Will you know when it's over, that you've done your best,
To follow the wisdom on your spiritual quest,
And leave here, the essence of all that is good,
So others may follow, the path where you stood...
