~Serene Meditation~

I've practiced meditation for the most part of my life,
Oh there were times life detoured, down a path of little light.
But I returned time and again, to the place I find true peace,
Where thought is absent, spirit flows and wonders never cease.


I ponder life and what's beyond, deep inside somewhere,
My simple words could not convey, the calmness waiting there.
Awareness of my body simply disappears somehow,
And visions show me places, people, not of here and now.


Patterns on the inside of my eyelids, forming shapes,
I watch the laser light show, till I reach a higher space,
Once there my answers come to me, without a single word,
A knowing, is the way these truthful messages are heard.


I don't know where I go, when meditation takes me deep,
The feeling of emotions, left behind for humans keep.
Silence unimaginable, freed from the ego's noise,
Adrift in serene meditation...hearing my own silent voice
