~ If I Could ~

If I could change a few things in this master minded scheme,
I’d make it so a heaven, would be more than just a dream.
I’d give a glimpse to everyone, so they could know it’s true ,
And have some peace of mind, now that they’ve had a bird’s eye view.

If I could, I’d answer all the questions in your minds,
But I am just like you, another human in the blind.
Bewildered by all life, what waits beyond this global sphere.
What loving maker fills his children full of unknown fears?

If I could, I’d feed the hungry people in despair,
Not another hungry human, in this world or anywhere.
I’d mend the broken people, broken hearts in need of care,
Abolish broken hearts and lose the need for heart repair.

If I could, I’d heal the ailing bodies, minds, and souls,
To happy, healthy beings, living life and feeling whole.
But I am just like you, another human in the blind,
Still, if I could… I’d give us eyes to see past humankind.
