". . . so quick the night-time goes! We sit and sit; long since, there is the winter solstice outside the curtain." Tonight is the night of the Winter Solstice also known as the Grand Beginning of a year. As is said, "A good beginning is half the battle." Ladies and Gentlemen, Happy Holidays!

Here and now are some other sayings--I don't know Whether they are of the same character as those Which I have already uttered or of a different one? Whether they are of the same character or not But when looked at along with them, They have a character of their own, which Cannot be distinguished from the other utterances. Since this is exactly the case, let me explain myself. Primarily, there was a beginning; and there certainly Was a beginning before that beginning; what's more, There was a beginning previous to that beginning Before there was the beginning. There was existence; There had been no existence. There was no existence Before the beginning of that no existence. There was no existence previous to the nonexistence Before there was the beginning of the nonexistence. If suddenly there was nonexistence, we do not know Whether it was really anything existing or really Not existing. Now I have said what I have said, But I do not know whether what I have said is really Anything else to the point or not; and that's just it.

Having read this, I know that both you and I exist. I you do not exist, then I did not really read these words. If I did not really read these words, then I do not exist either. Perhaps, it was the collision of the non-existence with the existence that precipitated the big bang with existence being the winner.

The quandary of existence can be discussed infinitely. But the idea of winter solstice is clearly simply a matter of measuring the length of days and recording them. Once these days are counted and measured, a calendar can be erected to predict future events.

Since the sun and the earth rotating around it have continued for over 4 billion years and humans have only measured the length of days and the number of days in the year in less than 10,000 years, it matters little when these things began. It's just that they are predictable until something very drastic occurs that we have no control over.
